Products to be weighed can be liquids, powders, or solid components, which can have an infinite number of different weight values. However, some products contain a limited number of components, the individual weights of which are more or less known. Therefore, these products (in theory) can only assume a limited number of weight values. In particular, one may only think of one or a few missing components that would make the final packaged product incomplete. The task of a dynamic checkweigher is to check the integrity of the product and, with sufficient measurement reliability, exclude incomplete products from the production process. Integrity control can be used both for individual packages and for final line packaging such as cartons.
